Redesigning the Innovation Workflow System
This project focused on reimagining a complex end-to-end innovation workflow system inside a large enterprise environment. The goal was to reduce friction, improve task clarity, and bring consistency across desktop and mobile. The redesign involved early lo-fi explorations, multi-round user testing, and high-fidelity visual system development.
An Overly Linear and Confusing Workflow
Users struggled to understand their current position in the workflow, the required actions, and how decisions progressed. Core tasks were split across multiple screens, progress indicators were unclear, and the mobile experience did not align with the desktop information architecture. These issues resulted in delays, repeated clarifications, and inconsistent review outcomes.
A Modular, Clear, and Unified Workflow Framework
I redesigned the entire workflow system using a modular step-based model that supports clarity, action visibility, and smoother navigation. High-fidelity designs included consolidated evaluation pages, contextual action cards, revised scoring layouts, and a redesigned reviewer experience. The mobile prototype was rebuilt to mirror desktop hierarchy so users could complete tasks consistently across devices.
